Whatever happened to the cast and crew of NAN? Did they do some other stuff later on? Read on...

Keep in mind that the following information was culled from a previous version of this page. Therefore, a lot of it is woefully outdated. If I ever get in touch with any of these people again, I'll be sure to update it.

Allan Havey is currently living in Santa Monica, California and is getting over his fear of the Pacific Ocean. On Seinfeld, he played the cop who was interrogating Kramer at the end of "The Wait Out". Allan had a tiny part in the movie Internal Affairs. On the tv front, Allan was a few episodes of Viper, playing radio shock jock Jay Lowry. He still does the comedy club circuit and can be spotted all across the country. He also had a small role in the movie "Rounders" and was recently in the Larry David comedy special for HBO. He's also been spotted on David's new show, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Nick Bakay Nick Bakay has been spotted all over television. He left NAN to become sidekick on The Dennis Miller Show. When that show was cancelled he meandered around various televison shows. He can now be found as the voice of Salem the Cat on Sabrina, the Teen-Age Witch. Nick can be heard on the Nickelodeon cartoon, The Angry Beavers, as older Beaver Brother Norbert. He's also been doing commercial voice-over work. He appeared in the Joel Hodgson-created show "The TV Wheel" as well as in Statical Planets, and still appears on ESPN.

I received an e-mail from Allan Havey himself, and this is what he said about some of the other crew members of Night After Night. I've tried to update what I can from what I can find online. The original e-mail is in regular text, while my updates are in italics.

Hi Michelle. Thanks for your patience...here's some material for you.

Dave "The Weatherman" Hanson: Following Night after Night he wrote for David Letterman for about a year and a half. After that he was a writer on "Mad TV" for a season. For the last 3 years he has been a writer-performer on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. He lives with his wife and his cats "somewhere in the valley"...

Kevin Kay (writer): is a big programming honcho at Nickelodeon. He supplies me with all my stationary and pocket protectors.

His actual title is Senior Vice President in Charge of Production

Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil (writer-performers): They were writers and voices on the television show "Beavis and Butthead", and are currently staff writers on the television show "News Radio".

They've since moved on to working on episodes for the MTV animated series "Daria", as well as for "Frasier".

John Averill (headwriter): Worked for a year at FX network as a writer-producer. He is currently living in Baltimore with his wife Janet and recently aquired son Jack, and working on a new project.

Deb Shaw (costume designer): Deb now works on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien". Conceptual comedy keeps her busy. She has also been working in films.

Dave "Dad" Dwyer (director): Dave is living in the Washington DC area preparing for the Catholic priesthood. Really! This helps me as he knows all my sins in advance.

That's all for now. I have to feed Mike Tyson. More later.

Allan

I also recently got an email message from former NAN writer John Deverlany. This is some interesting info:

Anyway, it's good to see someone still remembers that show. As for me, I went to work on a series of other shows, including "TV Nation," where I also played "Crackers the Corporate Crime Fighting Chicken," and "Angry Beavers," which is how Nick got connected with them. By the way, that show was created by Mitch Schauer, who used to fax in drawings to Night After Night.

I also co-wrote the pilot to MTV's "Austin Stories," and was the head writer on another MTV project that eventually became "Singled Out" (although I'm not sure if that's something to boast about). I'm currently developing shows for Jim Henson Productions, and living in Venice, CA, about two or three miles from Allan Havey, but we never see each other.
